On Wednesday, the mini-camps continue through much of the NFL, as many teams last performed before training camps began in late July. But the big news of the day came from teams that have already completed minilamps, as the Pittsburgh Steelers made Minka Fitzpatrick the highest paid security guard in NFL history with a four-year extension worth $ 18.4 million per season. The Indianapolis Colts lost one of their starting guarantees as Harry Willis retired after three seasons.
But there was also a lot of action on the practice field on Wednesday, as the Cleveland Browns made an approximately one-hour trip south to train at Tom Benson Stadium in the Canton Hall of Fame, Ohio, right next to the Professional Football Hall of Fame. New York Jets offensive game Mehhi Becton has also come up with a compelling way to respond to his critics.
This week is the busiest in the mini-camp season, as 17 teams train. Last week, 12 teams competed in minilamps, with the Miami Dolphins leaving earlier and the Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles choosing not to have mandatory minilamps.
Here are some snapshots, many of ESPN’s NFL Nation reporters on the scene this week, from Wednesday’s mini-camps:

Steelers make Minka Fitzpatrick the highest paid security in NFL history. Fitzpatrick begins his summer vacation with a nice payday after making a deal to become the highest paid security in the NFL. Becton was careful with the critics, ready to make them eat their words. Bacton, dubbed the “Big Ticket”, sent a big message to his critics on Wednesday. “I will make them eat their words,” he concluded the two-day mini-camp. Becton, who is battling injuries and weight problems from his promising newcomer in 2020, sounded determined to change the story. When he first appeared in the media last September, he appeared in a blue T-shirt with the words “Big Bust”.
Ron Rivera says commanders who do not trade with impatient WR Terry McLaurin Rivera are optimistic that a deal will be made with retaining successor Terry McLaurin, adding that they will not exchange their biggest out just because nothing has been signed yet . McClorine missed the first two days of Washington’s mandatory mini-camp. He attended training earlier in the spring, but missed volunteer OTA sessions for the past three weeks. McClorin’s rookie contract expires at the end of the season. He is looking for a new deal in line with what the other top receivers have received this off-season.

Saints’ Marcus Davenport was amputated this off-season. At Davenport, the upper left little finger was amputated this off-season after he broke a plate from a previous operation and contracted an infection. Davenport, who also underwent surgery on his right shoulder in January, hopes to stay healthy until training camp. But the finger problem threw an unexpected wrench on his schedule. Davenport said his little finger has been an annoying problem since he first broke ties with him during his junior year in Texas-San Antonio in a 2016 cup game.

Quotes of the day
“I do not think this is an option. You pay $ 30 million to someone and $ 2 million to someone else. You pay this man $ 30 million to play. I hope [Wentz] succeeds. My job is to support him. “QB Commander-in-Chief Taylor Heinicke, at the QB Race in Washington, D.C.” I didn’t realize how big he was. ”
