The de Havilland mosquito will be part of the permanent exhibition at the KF Aerospace Center for Excellence.

KF Aerospace says the flight has been postponed.

Details of the rescheduled flight will be shared soon.

The original plan was for the historic plane to arrive on the 78th anniversary of D-Day, June 6.

Aviation enthusiasts will have to wait a little longer.

KF Aerospace says mechanical problems have delayed the arrival of a World War II mosquito de Havilland Mosquito in Kelowna.

The historic plane was scheduled to take off from Vancouver International Airport this morning and arrive at YLW around 11:15, but this was postponed.

No ETA update.

The aircraft will become the center of the new KF Aerospace Center of Excellence, which is currently under construction.
