Michelle Branch has been arrested for domestic violence against her estranged husband Patrick Carney, Page Six has confirmed.
Police were called to the “Everywhere” singer’s home in Nashville at 2:08 a.m. local time Thursday for a possible domestic disturbance. Court documents show she admitted to hitting the Black Keys rocker “in the facial area once or twice” so she was arrested “without incident”.
Carney had no visible facial injuries, according to the complaint.
The Davidson County Sheriff confirmed to us that Branch, 39, was released Thursday after posting $1,000 bond. She was initially ordered to be held for 12 hours, but was released early “due to nursing an infant,” the documents said.

She has a hearing scheduled for November 7, 2022 to face her charge of domestic violence by offensive/provocative conduct.
A representative for Branch did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

The arrest came after the “Breathe” singer announced that she and Carney were divorcing after three years of marriage.
“To say I’m completely devastated doesn’t even come close to describing how I feel about myself and my family,” the singer told TMZ in a statement Thursday.

“The rug has been completely pulled out from under me and now I have to figure out how to move forward,” she added. “With such young children I ask for privacy and kindness.”
Although she took a more professional approach to her official statement, she provided a little more honesty on Twitter in a now-deleted message that accused Carney, 42, of cheating on her while she was at home with their 6-month-old baby.
The former couple share son Rhys James, 4, and daughter Willie, who was born earlier this year.
Branch was previously married to Teddy Landau from 2004 to 2015. She married Carney in 2019.
