A new game from Minecraft has made its world premiere at Xbox Summer Games Fest – one in which you will be able to build structures and command your allies to fight enemies. Xbox Games Studios showed a short clip from Minecraft Legends at the event and also announced that the new action strategy game is coming sometime in 2023. It was developed in partnership with Blackbird Interactive and will include a cooperative online campaign and competitive multiplayer mode. Dennis Rice, the game’s executive producer, said the studio would release more information about them later this year.
In Minecraft Legends you will have to defend Overworld, with its rich nature and resources, from an invading army of pigs. You will need to build alliances with mobs and lead them in strategic battles against invading forces. Reese said that “the game will have a very exciting campaign that will bring many surprises for both new and experienced Minecraft players.” The studio has so far shared only a few details about the upcoming game and promised to reveal more about it soon.
