Liverpool welcomed Moaman Zakaria to their locker room to celebrate their FA Cup final victory over Chelsea at Wembley.
Zakaria suffers from incurable amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), known as motor neurone disease, which affects the brain and spine. The former Egyptian national was diagnosed three years ago.
But after Liverpool’s dramatic penalty shootout victory over Chelsea at Wembley, Zakaria was invited to the Reds’ locker room to party with Jurgen Klopp’s side. A video posted on Salah’s Instagram shows the 34-year-old man being pushed around the locker room in his Adrian wheelchair while holding the FA Cup.

Many Liverpool players and staff can also be seen dancing and singing at the GALA – Free of Desire – in scenes similar to those seen after Liverpool’s victory in the Carabao Cup final over Chelsea in February.
Salah, who was drawn injured during the first half of Saturday’s game, dedicated his hat-trick against Leeds United on the opening day of last season at Zakaria. The striker put his hands on his ears, as the celebration was regularly performed by Zacharias during his playing days.
Zakaria has not played football since he was diagnosed in 2019. He was in the UK to check on his health at a medical center in London.
Speaking about Salah’s injury after the match, the head of the “reds” Jurgen Klopp said: “Mo came and said he could continue, but he felt a little something. I hope he will recover.”
