iOS 16 is full of new features and changes, and earlier today we shared six interesting and unknown features that Apple is introducing to the iPhone. Now we share six more goodies for iOS 16.
Easy management of famous WiFi networks
In addition to being able to see your WiFi password in iOS 16, users can now easily manage known and managed WiFi networks. On the WiFi page in Settings, tap edit and authenticate with Touch ID or Face ID. From there you will be able to delete known networks and see their details.
Cleaner iCloud settings page
Apple has rethought the layout and structure of iCloud settings in the iPhone Settings app. The page is already organized in various sections, including “Sync with iCloud”, “Archive devices” and “iCloud” +.
In the subpages Photos, iCloud Drive, Notes, Messages, Health and Passwords and Keychain, Apple added a new icon, a small paragraph explaining the function and the ability to manage the functionality and storage of applications.
A new glyph of AirPods in the Control Center is still being implemented
When connected to AirPods, a new corresponding glyph for your AirPods model will appear in the Now Playing section of the Control Center and on the lock screen. This replaces the old AirPlay icon, which remains static no matter which device you use.
Warning for recharging the battery
As noted on Twitter (1, 2), iOS 16 will now alert users when the system has stopped charging iPhone due to overheating, which can damage battery life. The new notification will appear on the lock screen, the Notification Center, and the Battery settings page.
Revised menu for text and editing
Apple has redesigned the text option and edit menu for “iOS 16” to make it cleaner and now offers it in both light and dark themes, depending on the current mode of your “iPhone”. In cases where the menu is longer, Apple also adjusts the scrolling behavior through the options.
A quick note comes to the iPhone
Introduced on iPadOS 15 and macOS Monterey, Quick Note came on the iPhone with the iOS 16. The quick note can be accessed through the Share Sheet on iOS, including images, websites, and more.
The contact gadget now displays unread messages
The Contacts gadget will now show if you have unread messages from a specific contact. The unread banner is limited to medium and large widgets for the Contacts application.
