Power outage in Lake Country

Electricity in Lake Country is running out again.
More than 3,500 BC Hydro customers are without electricity on Thursday morning.
BC Hydro shows that the crew is on its way. The images shared with Castanet by our readers show a burning nest and the Oceola Road is closed from Highway 97 to the roundabout at the top of the hill, with the exception of locals.
Lake Country has experienced frequent power outages in the past week.
BC Hydro tells Castanet, “which comes down to the fact that osprey nests cause a lot of chaos along the lines,” explains Dave Cooper of BC Hydro. “On Friday, one of them actually caused a fire and in fact the pole had to be replaced due to a fire.
