RCMP have issued an arrest warrant for a man following a burglary and sexual assault in Nanoose Bay, BC
Police say the attack happened when a man broke into a home along Morello Road and sexually assaulted a resident on July 30.
A suspect was arrested later that day and later released with a court date scheduled.
As the investigation continues, investigators have determined that the suspect gave them a false name.
The suspect was later identified as 27-year-old Quinten Anthony Meyer and police issued an arrest warrant.
Meyer faces four charges, including breaking and entering, sexual assault, assault with a weapon and obstructing a police officer.
Meyer is described as a white male, standing 5′ 10″ and weighing 160 pounds. He has blue eyes, blond hair that is shaved on both sides, and a tattoo of a skull on his left arm.
Oceanside RCMP say they do not know where Meyer is at this time. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to report it to the police.
Oceanside RCMP add that Meyer has family ties on Vancouver Island, Okanagan, and in Calgary, Alta.
