Nick Cannon and Bre Tiesi’s son needed ‘respiratory support’

Nick Cannon and Bre Tiesi’s son, Legendary, required ‘respiratory support’ after his birth.

The couple’s baby was born with a “long rostrum,” which was caused by a nuchal arm, or hand next to his ear, Tiesi revealed in an 11-minute birth video released Monday.

“I noticed he wasn’t crying,” the model said, adding that their midwife used an air tube on the newborn and when he finally started crying, it was “the best sound I’ve ever heard.”

Last month, the estate agent documented her “unmedicated home birth” on YouTube, warning viewers that the clips were “intense” and “a bit graphic”.

In the video, Tiesi, 31, desperately tries to induce labor before Cannon, 41, has to travel across the country for work for an unknown amount of time.

The new mother, who was in labor for 10 hours, explained in the video that she was quickly “humbled” by the “intensity of labor”.

She added: “It was the most limiting/painful moment yet completely empowering and beautiful.

“The intensity of labor takes over your whole body and I swear I was pushing so hard and screaming and crying that I started to break down, I started to doubt that I could do it, I kept saying why didn’t he come, get him out.”

“At a certain point I had left my body, I didn’t remember much of my birth until my team sat down with me to process my birth, which I felt was so healing and helpful,” she continued, before thanking the “amazing your partner,” Cannon, for his support in the process.

Legendary was born on June 28 at 1:28 am PT and weighed eight pounds and 10 ounces. He was 21 inches.

Tiesi added at the end of the video that he was doing “perfectly”.

In January, the Wild ‘N Out host and Tiessy revealed they were expecting their first child together – Cannon’s eighth – after pictures of their gender reveal party emerged.

Cannon shares twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey.

Following their 2016 divorce, he welcomed Golden and Powerful with Brittany Bell in 2017 and 2020, respectively. Cannon and DJ Abby De La Rosa’s twins, Zion and Zillion, arrived in 2021, the same month the 28-year-old Scott gave birth to Zen, who died of brain cancer at just 5 months old.
