A popular beauty spot in Suffolk has imposed a temporary ban on barbecues as temperatures hit 32C in parts of the county.
Mid Suffolk District Council has temporarily banned barbecues at Needham Lake, in line with advice from Suffolk Fire Service.
A spokesman for Mid Suffolk District Council said: “In support of and in line with advice from our colleagues at Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service to protect our green spaces, we have taken the decision to temporarily ban barbecues at Needham Lake during the heatwave, to to reduce the risk of fire.
“Signs have been put up to advise visitors and we will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates once we are able to lift the ban.”
Station manager Alan Caldwell gives an update on the #rattlesden fire which has now been extinguished.

Advice from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service says people should avoid bonfires or any kind of fire such as campfires/bonfires, not use disposable barbecues and be careful with the disposal of cigarettes and litter.
Hollow Tree Farms also has a fire ban on the weekend where a group of scouts must camp.
