A yellow weather warning has been issued for Norfolk as thunderstorms are expected to hit the county after a spell of extreme heat.
A weather warning will be in effect for the entire county between 10am and midnight on Monday, August 15, according to the Met Office.
It comes after the county was hit by another heatwave this week and a drought was declared for Norfolk.
While the rain may be a welcome sight for many, it could cause more disruption in Norfolk.
The Met Office’s website states: “When flooding or lightning strikes occur, delays and some canceled train and bus services are likely.
“Sprinkling and flooding may also lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.”
