Police have today (Saturday, August 13) confirmed that a man has died after being hit by a car in a supermarket car park.
The 77-year-old pedestrian was walking through the Lidl car park in Northallerton when a black Volkswagen ID3 collided with him.
It happened at around 1.35pm on Monday August 8 and the man was taken by air ambulance to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough.
North Yorkshire Police today renewed their appeal for any witnesses to the incident who have not yet come forward, or anyone who has CCTV footage.
