Novak Djokovic will play Nick Kyrgios in the Wimbledon men’s final on Sunday after beating British No.1 Cam Norrie 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4.
Norrie rattled his big-name opponent and thrilled the Center Court crowd with an electric first set, but the 20-time Grand Slam champion responded mercilessly.
It was Djokovic’s 27th straight win at Wimbledon and he is one match away from becoming the fourth man since World War I to win four consecutive titles.

Norrie rocked her big-name opponent and thrilled the crowd on Center Court in the first set
The 20-time Grand Slam champion responded mercilessly by winning three straight sets
But to join the likes of Bjorn Borg, Pete Sampras and Roger Federer, the No. 1 must do something he has never done before – beat Kyrgios.
The weight of opportunity seemed to be on the 35-year-old in the first set and Norrie’s tactics were perfect on court.
Djokovic is a supreme counter hitter and likes to see his opponents trying to cut their way through him.

Norrie refused to allow himself to be drawn into such a match; he remained patient and shifted the weight back to Djokovic to force the issue.
Djokovic made 12 unforced errors as the No. 9 seed built a one-set lead.
The second set was tighter and Djokovic had the better chances. Nori won just three points on Djokovic’s serve and was in regular trouble on his own.
He missed a backhand volley as Djokovic broke for 5-3 and the Serb was serving for the set.
Djokovic took one of his frequent – tactical? – bathroom breaks at this stage. He did the same in two sets against Jannik Sinner in the quarterfinals and gave himself a talk in the mirror.
Whatever he did this time around had a similar effect as he came out swinging freely and playing with controlled aggression.

Norry’s normally metronomic backhand began to crumble under sustained attacks from Djokovic’s forehand.
Any tension Djokovic was feeling had now evaporated in the southwest London air and he edged closer to the finish line to set up a mouth-watering men’s final.
It was a great run for Norrie, comfortably his best performance at a Grand Slam. And now he has won the wider recognition in this country which his high place has long deserved.
