Officials release new footage of Officer Vicki White escaping with inmate Casey White

Vicki White, an Alabama correctional officer who has been the target of mass persecution after disappearing last week with a prisoner accused of murder, has been spotted in new surveillance footage.

On Saturday, the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office released a video showing White at the reception of the Quality Inn in Florence, Alabama. Officials said the video showed White in the morning, who allegedly helped inmate Casey White escape from Lauderdale County Jail.

Vicki and Casey White (no relative) left Lauderdale County Detention Center at 9:30 a.m. at the courthouse, but never arrived. They went straight to the Florence Square mall, where they abandoned the patrol car and drove away in a Ford. The keys to Vicki White’s patrol cruiser, police radio and handcuffs were left in her sheriff’s car. The Florence Quality Inn is also close to where White dumped her escape car, officials added.

Sheriff Rick Singleton said Vicki and Casey White had a “prison romance” that included making sure he had extra food on his trays and communicating with him while he was in state prison.

On May 5, US marshals released new photos of Casey White and Vicki White. The photos show Casey White with tattoos on his chest, arms and upper back, including some related to the Alabama-based white Southern Brotherhood prison gang. Vicky’s photos showed what a blonde with dyed or longer / shorter hair would look like.

This week, White’s mother-in-law, Francis White, told The Daily Beast that the officer “may have been brainwashed.”

“I can’t imagine running away with this man, but you never know,” White added. “He went into a woman’s house and stabbed her.”

The US Marshal Service has announced via Twitter that it will offer up to $ 10,000 for information about Casey White and up to $ 5,000 for information about Vicki White.

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey also issued two $ 5,000 prizes each for information leading to the arrest and arrest of Vicki and Casey White.

“Both Casey White and Vicki White pose a major threat to society and must be detained. “I am pleased to offer this support, as law enforcement is working hard to put these dangerous criminals behind bars,” Ivy said.
