A local buys an adventure park

For the first time since it opened 10 years ago, the adventure park just east of Kelowna on Highway 33 is locally owned.
Greg Fedoryuk, who co-owns Myra Canyon Adventure Park, purchased the Okanagan Adventure Park earlier this year and will open it to the public on Saturday. The park is located at 5983 Highway 33, which is on the turnoff on the way to Big White.
“We’re ready to go,” Fedoryuk said this week after finally getting insurance for the park.
Fedoriuk said the chance to turn Okanagan Adventure Park into a local business was a big reason he was interested in buying it. It also has extensive experience in managing an adventure park, and its purchase got rid of a competitor.
Okanagan Adventure Park features 20 zip lines, an aerial adventure course and a massive swing that sends its riders traveling at up to 100 kilometers per hour. It’s the perfect place for a birthday party, a fun weekend event with friends, a first date, a family outing, a bachelor or bachelorette party, or even a work event.
While Myra Canyon is aimed more at families, Okanagan Adventure Park is for more advanced adventurers – although there are courses that are perfect for those as young as five.
Okanagan Adventure Park opened 10 years ago this summer as WildPay Element Parks, but went out of business in 2018. Another company opened it as Okanagan Adventure Park last July, but offered to sell it to Fedoriuk in January.
To celebrate Okanagan Adventure Park’s grand re-opening this weekend, Fedoriuk has teamed up with Castanet for a free competition that will give one lucky winner two passes to the adventure course and zip line. The competition ends on August 8 and you can enter here.
