In addition to her adoring family and adoring fans, Olivia Newton-John left a profound impact on the world financially, philanthropically and culturally.
Actress, singer and philanthropist, Newton-John was a triple threat and amassed a huge fortune throughout her career.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Newton-John was worth $60 million. Here’s a look back at her work both on and off screen.
“Grease” star and Grammy Award-winning performer
Best known for her role as Sandy in the film “Grease” alongside John Travolta, Newton-John already had considerable success by the time the film was released in 1978.

Born in England and raised in Australia, Newton-John catapulted to fame with a music career.
After being a member of several bands, Newton-John branched out on her own, releasing “If Not for You”, her first album. The record went platinum in Australia. By 1973, she had a Grammy under her belt for the country tune “Let Me Be There.”
Newton-John has won four Grammy Awards over the course of his career.

When she got her role in “Grease,” her career only catapulted. The film gave her more hits, including You’re the One I Want, Hopelessly Devoted to You, and Summer Nights.
Later in her career, the beloved actress also starred in “Glee” and “Dancing with the Stars,” which contributed to her enduring fame.
One of Newton-John’s most notable hits, “Physical,” was released in 1981, climbing to the top of the charts.

In 1984, after plenty of movies, albums and some relationships, Newton-John married Matt Lattanzi. They had a daughter, Chloe Rose, and divorced in 1995.

“Do not stop believing”
Newton-John has faced several bouts of breast cancer, with her first diagnosis in 1992, just six years after giving birth to her daughter. After the cancer returned in 2017 as stage four, she revealed that she also battled cancer in 2013.
Her husband, John Easterling, 70, of the Amazon Herb Company, and Newton-John launched a charity called the Olivia Newton-John Foundation in 2020, a year after Newton-John published her New York Times bestseller Don’t Stop to believe.'”

Philanthropic efforts
In addition to the foundation, the Olivia Newton-John Center for Cancer and Wellness has now been established at Melbourne’s Austin Hospital.
Although her name and image are associated with both the foundation and the center, this does not necessarily change the status of the star, according to a legal expert.
“The facility opened in 2012 at a cost of $189 million, with state and federal funding, plus philanthropic support,” Chris Melcher, a partner at Walzer Mercer, told FOX Business. “Olivia has made donations to her donor-advised fund throughout her life, so this property is now in her gift account. Her estate plan likely includes additional charitable gifts that may qualify for the set aside charitable deduction to reduce her estate taxes.”

Newton-John moved her foundation to the United States for tax benefits, her spokesman Michael Caprio said of the move at the time.
“Both Olivia and her husband John Easterling have been very active directors of the charity since its inception and have said they look forward to continuing their support of plant medicine research, particularly for cancer, in the US,” according to 7 News in Australia.
Easterling grows medical marijuana on their property in Santa Barbara. The actress said she used cannabis oil during her health journey.

Property
Newton-John had homes in Australia and the United States. She had homes in several parts of California, including her home in Santa Ynez, which she purchased for $4.69 million, as well as in Florida. She reportedly sold her Santa Barbara property before her death.
In 2019, she sold her sprawling 187-acre property in New South Wales. The home had an asking price of $3.9 million.
