Ozzy Osbourne broke his silence and thanked his fans for “their thoughts, prayers and good wishes” in his first statement since the “big operation” he did on Monday afternoon.

“Now I’m coming home from the hospital and recovering comfortably,” the 73-year-old musician tweeted to millions of followers on Wednesday.

“I definitely feel the love and support from all my fans and send all the big thanks to them for their thoughts, prayers and wishes during my recovery.”

The family did not discuss publicly the medical procedure Ozzy had to undergo, but Sharon admitted that Ozzy “felt well” about 30 minutes before her husband posted online.

Sharon also included a classic retrospective photo of Ozzy standing in front of the microphone, ready to perform one of his hit songs.

“Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the tremendous amount of love and support that led to Ozzy’s operation,” she tweeted Tuesday afternoon, a day after the procedure.

“Ozzy is doing well and is on his way to recovery. Your love means the whole world to him, “she added with emojis with praying hands.

Sharon, who will release a four-part documentary series on the culture of annulment later this year, said Ozzy was involved in a challenging situation last week and will need a difficult operation. She immediately flew back to the West Coast from London to be next to him.

“He has a serious operation on Monday and I have to be there,” she told TalkTV colleagues last week. “It will really determine the rest of his life.”

A report has since emerged stating that the procedure involved removing and rearranging pins in his neck and back. “Ozzy is 73 and any operation when you grow old is difficult,” said a source Page six.

“It’s very important. He has been rearranging his neck and back pins since the fall of 2019. “

“He was in a lot of pain,” said a source about Ozzy’s physical condition recently, and will also require “long-term recovery” with round-the-clock care provided by a home nurse.

Ozzy’s back problems probably stemmed from a collision with an off-road vehicle in 2003, when he overturned his four while driving around his London property.

He had to undergo emergency surgery for “a broken collarbone, eight broken ribs that pinched important blood vessels and damaged vertebrae in his neck.”

“I’m just waiting for another operation on my neck,” he said Classic rock magazine in May. “I can’t walk properly these days. I have physiotherapy every morning. I’m a little better, but not as much as I want to be to get back on the road.”

When asked if he had ever thought about his own mortality, Ozzy said he was optimistic about his future as he looked back.

“At 73, he did quite well,” he said. “I have no intention of going anywhere, but my time will come
