Three classic Atlus games, Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal, are finally coming to the Xbox. The news was announced earlier today during the big presentation of Microsoft’s Xbox and Bethesda.

All three games will be available in Game Pass and also come to PC.

First, Persona 5 will be released on October 21 for the Xbox. The other two games will come later, but these release dates were not announced during today’s event.

Persona games are an incredibly popular and beloved JRPG that focuses on teenagers in Japan who need to balance everyday things like school, relationships, and housework with fighting demons and exploring distorted, supernatural worlds and dungeons. You know, the usual thing we all did as teenagers.

Persona 3 has not been released on newer, more modern consoles, with its latest port being the PSP. So coming to the Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One and PC at some point in the future is a big deal for fans who want an easier and more enjoyable way to play the classic JRPG, which was first released in 2006.

According to a press release from Atlus, Persona 3 will also include “improved graphics”, and Persona 3 and 4 will be available for play with French, Italian, German and Spanish text, the first of these specific entries in the long-running JRPG franchise, Atlus said.

Before the show, rumors began to circulate about a collection of Persona games aimed at Game Pass and Xbox. And it turned out that these rumors are true.

Persona 5 Royal, which packs all the DLC into one package, is the only game with a confirmed release date for the Xbox on October 21, 2022. The other two games will come to the Xbox and PC via Game Pass at some point in the future.

According to an Xbox tweet, all the games shown today will be released in the next 12 months, so … I guess somewhere between tomorrow and June 11, 2023!
