Police are looking for a driver in a collision with a cyclist

The Waterloo Regional Police Department is investigating a collision in Kitchener that sent a cyclist to hospital.

Ambulances were called to the intersection of Westmount Road East and Greenbrook Drive around 4:15 p.m. Monday.

A young man riding a bicycle was hit by a passing car.

Police said the driver did not stay at the scene.

The boy was transported to a hospital outside the region with serious injuries.

No additional information about his age or a description of the vehicle involved was published.
