EMERGENCY SERVICES are currently working on the scene at the address in Bradford, where toxic chemicals related to drug production were found.
At 4:34 p.m. yesterday, officers were called to riot at the Westcroft Road house, Great Horton.
Border at the site where drug production equipment was found
During a search of the premises, officers found chemicals and evidence of drug production. A man has been arrested on suspicion of class A drug production and remains in custody.
A public safety cordon was set up and specialized police and fire services were deployed to assess the scene.
While some evacuations were initially made to neighboring homes, it was now estimated that there was no greater risk of the chemicals to anyone outside the address where they were found.
On-site incident response team
An accident site is expected to remain in the coming days to allow the safe removal and disposal of the substances, as well as the forensic examination of the property to support the criminal investigation.
A West Yorkshire police spokesman said: “We acknowledge the disturbances caused to the residents of the street and thank them for their continued patience.”
