Police say the missing six-year-old Lambeth twins have been found

The two twins, who went missing in South London, have been found, police said.

Emanuel and Emanuela were last seen playing in the front garden at their address at Cowley Road SW9 around 6pm on Saturday, before a relative went to check on them an hour later and found they were not there.

Officers were alerted and began searching the area with the assistance of the National Aviation Police Service.

A family and a number of local volunteers helped with the search.

Following the search, Lambeth police said the couple was found in a statement shortly before midnight.

A statement said: “We are pleased to confirm that they have already been found,” Lambeth police said in a statement shortly after midnight on Saturday.

“We would like to thank the media and the public for their help.
