Poll shows Johnson facing destruction of red wall as Labor returns amid party repercussions | News

Boris Johnson will lose his seat if elections are held tomorrow, according to a poll suggesting conservatives face destruction in the Red Wall constituencies they won in 2019.

Johnson will be the most significant victim on the night of Tory’s losses with Blyth Valley, Burnley, Lee and Stoke-on-Trent North among the places likely to return to Labor.

A YouGov MRP poll, which uses the same model that predicts the outcome of the general election, shows that the Tories will lose all but three of the 88 seats on the battlefield, which they hold by a small margin over Labor.
