Queens Ryder hospitalized after 7 train crash – NBC New York

A teenager on the subway is believed to have suffered a severe head injury in a rush hour accident aboard Train 7 in Queens on Thursday and was hospitalized in critical condition early Friday, police said.

Cops say they believe the boy was riding on top of a southbound train and hit his head on an unknown object when the subway stopped at 111th Street and Roosevelt Avenue Station shortly after 6 p.m.

Other details of the case were not immediately available.

Thursday’s incident was the second case of subway surfing that made headlines in the last week and a half.

A shocking video posted on TikTok shows a group of people standing, walking and even dancing on top of a moving subway train as they cross the Williamsburg Bridge.
