ATLANA – Rappers Young Thug and his union Young Slime Life were arrested early Monday afternoon.
Thug, also known as Jeffrey Williams, is accused of conspiring to associate with others for the common purpose of illegally acquiring money and property through a racketeering model and conducting and participating in the company through a racketeering model.

The indictment also alleges that Williams and the YSL member were involved in activities such as:
- Preserve, protect and enhance the reputation, power and territory of the enterprise through acts of racketeering, including murder, assault and threats of violence;
- Preservation, protection and enhancement of the reputation, strength and territory of the enterprise by publishing messages, images, videos and songs, demonstrating loyalty to the enterprise and readiness to commit violence on its behalf;
- Maintaining armed individuals willing and willing to preserve, protect and enhance the reputation, power and territory of the enterprise through the use of violence;
- Acquisition of money, weapons and other property through racketeering, including robbery, theft and illegal sale and distribution of drugs;
- Obstruction of law enforcement investigations and judicial proceedings by intimidation of witnesses and attacks on law enforcement officials.
The 56-count indictment lists the names of 28 people, including Sergio Kitchens, who is called the rap name Guna.

That’s what Williams’ lawyer Brian Steele said Mark Win from Channel 2 that his client had not committed any crime.
“I will tell you that the answer to any accusation is that Mr. Williams has not committed any crime and we will fight to the last drop of my blood to clear it,” he said.
Police said YSL claims to be linked to the national gang of Bloods and Williams is one of the three alleged founders of YSL.
Officials also said the gang began in late 2012 in the Cleveland Avenue area of Atlanta.

“We expect in the coming days, weeks and months to indict RICO against gang members, even top-level gang members, to make sure we get rid of our society,” said the district attorney. Fulton Fanny Willis in an interview with Winne last week.
Christian Eppinger, also mentioned in the indictment, is the same person accused of shooting six Atlanta police officers David Rodgers in February and seriously injuring him.
Young Thug is expected to appear in court for the first time on Tuesday morning.
