UPDATE at 10:07
Rescuers searching for the missing Chelsea Cardno, 31, will meet with the RCMP later this afternoon to determine the next steps in the search, which is now entering its fourth day.
Cardno was last seen on Tuesday, and RCMP and COSAR searched the shores of Mission Creek for clues as to her whereabouts. She is believed to have taken her dog JJ for a walk and may have been swept away by the fast-moving Mission Creek.
COSAR manager Dwayne Tresnic tells Castanet that they plan to meet with the RCMP on Thursday afternoon to determine the next steps in the search.
“After this conversation with RCMP, I will have a better idea of where we can continue what we will do. At the moment, everything depends on the weather. Tomorrow should be a better day. ” Tresnic says there is rain in the forecast, so they are watching the weather forecast closely.
“My plan is just to continue on the path we’ve been looking for the last few days along Mission Creek, the water level is falling a little lower and slowing down.”
Despite the fact that Cardno has not been seen since Tuesday morning, Tresnic says that does not change the way they approach the search, “we are still searching in every way, my first priority is my members. We want to be able to be there. “

The search for the missing Chelsea Cardno, 31, is now in its fourth day as the RCMP continues to investigate her disappearance.
Okanagan’s Central Search and Rescue Service stopped its search on Thursday due to safety concerns related to the weather forecast and high water flow at Mission Creek.
Cardno was last seen leaving her Dougall Road South residence in Kelowna at 8 a.m. Tuesday. Mounties searched the area around Mission Greenway and found Cardno’s white BMW parked at the northern end of Pasadena Road.
She is known to walk the trails past Mission Creek and is believed to have walked her dog when she may have been swept into fast-moving water.
COSAR is working with RCMP to determine the best time to resume demand.
“Today we are discussing options for organizing the next search according to the flow of the river and the weather,” search manager Dwayne Tresnich said on Friday morning.
Kelowna’s RCMP wants to hear from anyone who may have been in the Mission Greenway and Mission Creek area on Tuesday and may have seen Chelsea Cardo or her dog JJ.
