Netflix has the green light “Squid Game: The Challenge”, a reality racing series based on the hit South Korean drama of 2021.

The news came from Bela Bajaria, head of Netflix’s global television, at the Banff World Media Festival on Tuesday. According to Netflix, “Squid Game: The Challenge” will be “the biggest reality racing series ever”, will host the largest cast and will offer the biggest one-time cash prize in the history of reality TV, as 456 players compete for $ 4.56 million.

Competitors will go through a series of games inspired by the original show, plus new additions that all aim to test their strategies, alliances and character, while others are eliminated around them.
