CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) – Multiple agencies reported road closures all day Sunday due to flooding.
The City of Charleston reports that all lanes are closed in the following areas:
- Barre Street between Calhoun Street and Broad Street
- Bee Street in Lockwood/Courtenay
- Calhoun Street at Rutledge Avenue to Smith Street
- Fishburne Street at Hagood Avenue
- Hagood Avenue between a little north of Fishburne Street to Spring Street
- Huger Street near Meeting to King Street
- King Street at Huger Street
- Morrison Drive near the US 17 ramp
- N Nassau Street at Cool Blow Street
- Rutledge Avenue at Sumter Street to Septima Clark Parkway

The National Weather Service says heavy rain is currently moving toward downtown Charleston. “As the hidden tide approaches, the risk of flooding will increase rapidly,” the NWS said. “Be prepared for flooded roads.”
The Charleston Police Department said in a tweet that officers are monitoring flooded areas.
Earlier in the day, the North Charleston Police Department reported that multiple sections of Dorchester Road were flooded.
Dorchester Road between Remus and Rivers avenues is completely under water, according to police.
Meanwhile, Dorchester Road at Leeds Avenue is impassable, as is the area between Azalea Drive and Dorchester Road.
As of 7:25 p.m., Buist Avenue from Old Park Road down to Spruill Avenue is closed.

A flash flood warning has been issued for parts of the Lowcountry until 2 a.m. Monday.
