Headlining the 99th Rotary Parade, residents enjoy fun activities, delicious food and live music on the final day of Rotaryfest
The forecast couldn’t have been better for one of Sol’s biggest gatherings in years.
By 11 a.m. Saturday, thousands of local residents had already lined the sidewalks of Queen Street East in anticipation of the 99th Rotary Community Parade.
Dozens of groups, bands, dancers and special guests made their way through downtown, providing music, candy and everything in between for attendees.
Residents then walked to Clerg Park for the final day of Rotaryfest, where attendees enjoyed a range of activities such as horse riding, giant games, face painting and more.
Adjacent to Clergue Park, the Algoma Makers Market has dozens of local vendors also offering trinkets, treats and collectibles.
And let’s not forget, of course, all the Rotaryfest must-haves like Spicy Ribfest Ribs, Potato Twists, Deep Fried Bars, Cotton Candy, and anything else imaginable is available for indulgence.
Live entertainment will rock the festival’s main stage throughout the evening from several local bands and acts.
Festival-goers are reminded to bring cash for most of the vendors.
The winner of the Take Your Pick raffle will be announced tonight at 11:45 p.m
