Rumor: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 games for July 2022 expired early

The selection of PS Plus games for July 2022 seems to have expired before the official unveiling, which is scheduled for Wednesday. The leak is again coming from Dealabs, with user bilbil kun having published numerous PS Plus updates in the past. As such, there are very few reasons to doubt this latest leak.

According to the aforementioned publication, the July 2022 PS Plus Essential games are as follows:

Crash Bandicoot 4 is probably the main action here – a continuation of the classic platforming series, which came out in 2020 for PS4 and was transferred to PS5 in 2021.

However, this is the title of horror that you choose yourself, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan, which will definitely provoke a conversation. This is because Man of Medan is now available through PS Plus Extra – one of the new subscription levels for PS Plus that has just launched. This is another example of overlapping Sony services – something we saw several times in PS Now before it was folded into the updated PS Plus.

Finally, Arcadegeddon is a colorful multiplayer shooter that will be released on July 5 – also the day these PS Plus games will be available for download. Online multiplayer titles have become a major part of PS Plus in the last six months. Being on PS Plus allows these games to reach a wider audience, but it’s safe to say that not everyone is a fan of this strategy.
