Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro leak [Gallery]

After previous branding, price, size and color leaks, we now have our first look at Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro thanks to what should be official renders.

91mobiles’ Evan Blass tonight leaked information about the next-gen Galaxy Watch devices as “high-res renders, 3D turntable.” It starts with the Galaxy Watch 5 – which is codenamed “Heart” – and is largely unchanged from the smaller Watch 4 launched last year.

We see it’s 44mm from the text ring on the underside, but Blass says a similar size – possibly 40mm – will also be available. It will be available in a “more extensive color palette than the Pro range”, and we’re looking at the standard Graphite and Silver, as well as the pale blue Sapphire. Pink Gold in a smaller size should also be available, according to a previous Galaxy Watch 5 leak.

Both models use “Sapphire Crystal” instead of Gorilla Glass DX and will be available in LTE variants. Other shared specs include GPS and 5ATM water resistance. Today’s report says they’re working on One UI Watch 4.5 based on wearOS 3.5, though it remains to be seen if that update will hit existing devices first.

While the regular Watch 5 looks identical to last year’s model, the Watch 5 Pro is rumored to ditch the rotating bezel for what Samsung is currently calling a “digital bezel.” However, the frame is not flat, but rather curved inwards. Hopefully this will help with finger placement and accuracy.

Codenamed “Project X,” it will be available in black or gray titanium, measuring just 45mm compared to the 46mm (and 44mm) of the Watch 4 Classic. It’s definitely thicker than the smaller size of the 2022 and appears to use a different clasp system instead of the usual buckle (as seen on watch 4/5).
