The suspect drove to the airport around 6pm local time and toured the departure terminal before taking out his weapon and attacking three men, San Francisco police spokesman Robert Rueca said in a statement.
The victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and were released, Rueca said.
The suspect’s identity is currently being concealed, charges and an active investigation are pending, Rueca added.
Police are urging people to report and contact the unit if they have information about the attack.
