The Scottish Daily Mail sprayed Labor with confessions that Deputy Leader Angela Raynor was at an event that allegedly violated blocking rules. The newspaper says Ms Raynor was in the Durham campaign in April 2021 at the same office where leader Sir Keira Starmer was filmed drinking with officials. A party source told the Mail that previous allegations that she was not there were an “honest mistake”.

The Scottish Daily Express is shaking up funding, which could lead to the end of the license fee. The newspaper says BBC chiefs have been informed by the government that the annual fee is “facing the ax” after Culture Minister Nadine Doris published proposals to “renew” the BBC’s funding model.

The UK government plans to send 8,000 troops to Eastern Europe in what the Daily Telegraph calls “one of the largest deployments since the Cold War”. Tanks, artillery, armored vehicles and planes are also being sent to support NATO forces in the region, the paper said.

He made the announcement during a recording of the CBS network show in Los Angeles on Thursday. The newspaper says the star plans to spend more time with his family in the UK.

Douglas Ross has been accused of engaging in “Westminster-style” misogyny over comments he made about a woman politician, according to The National. The newspaper says Karen Adam, SNP MSP for Banffshire and Buchanan Coast, claims the Scottish Conservative leader is trying to “bring a culture of Westminster misogyny”. Mr Ross said Adam would “prefer to whine” after she called on the UK government to “change” the north-east of Scotland amid a dispute over the replacement of EU funds, which the SNP says are not far from what was paid before Brexit.
