Shots were fired at Tysons Corner on Saturday afternoon, Fairfax County Police said.
No casualties were reported.
A fight broke out in the mall, and a man pulled out a gun and fired, police said.
Police said the situation was not an active shooter.
Police are clearing the mall to make sure the suspects are missing. People need to be sheltered on the spot until employees arrive to help them.
The mall is closed and the public has been asked to avoid the area.
