Spurs close deals for Richardson from Everton and Langlet from Barcelona | Transfer window

Tottenham are about to agree on a deal to buy Richardson from Everton. The striker is a key target for Antonio Conte, who wants to add more depth to his attack, and transfer talks are nearing completion.

Everton have endured around £ 50 million and have previously been cool about Spurs’ attempts to involve players like Dutch winger Stephen Bergwyn in an exchange deal. Bergwyn is a target for Ajax.

The signing will be a boost for Conte. Richardson, who played an important role in helping Everton stay on its feet, wants to join the Spurs and wants to play in the Champions League. He was also a target for Chelsea, although they did not make a move for him.

Tottenham are also close to a deal to attract defender Clement Lengle on loan from Barcelona for the season. The 27-year-old, who has 15 games for France, started seven La Liga games in the 2021-22 campaign.

West Ham are making progress in negotiations with Villarreal for a deal to sign Arnaut Danjuma. The fee has not yet been agreed or personal terms are being discussed, but there is growing confidence that West Ham will attract the Dutch winger for a fee of around 40 million euros (34.5 million pounds) plus supplements.

David Moyes wants additions to the attack and is interested in signing a universal striker. Danjuma can play on the left or in the middle.
