Starmer is “not surprised” that platinum jubilee crowds are booing Boris Johnson

Keir Starmer said he was “not surprised” that Boris Johnson was booed by crowds who gathered in front of St. Paul’s Cathedral to celebrate the Queen’s platinum anniversary on Friday.

The Labor leader said that the reaction of the crowd to the appearance of the Prime Minister was a reflection of how “tired” they were of the voters from the Conservative government.

But he said the failure to respond adequately to the cost of living crisis was the cause of public discontent with Mr Johnson, not the scandal with parties violating the 10 Downing Street blockade.
