Stephanos Tsitsipas and Nick Kyrgios were fined after a tense game

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Nick Kyrgios must pay the Wimbledon piper.

Both tennis stars will be fined after their heated match on Saturday, in which Kyrgios emerged victorious.

Tsitsipas will have to pay $10,000 and Krigios was fined $4,000.

Tsitsipas’ fine comes from unsportsmanlike conduct, stemming from two stern warnings for ball abuse by match chair referee Damien Dumusois.

Footage showed Tsitipas hitting a ball towards fans during the game on Saturday, prompting Kyrgios to call for him to be sent off.

Kyrgios reportedly called Dumusois an obscenity and asked him “Are you stupid?” to the chair umpire, prompting him to be fined. He has been fined before while playing at Wimbledon for spitting in the direction of a fan.

Tsitsipas called Kyrgios a “bully” after the match for his antics towards Dumusois. In response, Kyrgios called Tsitsipas “soft”.

Kyrgios will face Brandon Nakashima on Monday in the round of 16 at Wimbledon.
