Sunset sales star Maya Vander suffered a miscarriage six months after giving birth to her stillborn son.
The 40-year-old Netflix star announced the sad news in her Instagram stories on Tuesday with a photo of her son Aiden, three years old, asleep.
“I had a very crazy week. Spontaneous abortion in 10 weeks … after stillbirth … but my children and my husband are absolutely my blessing and I am so happy to be there, mother! ‘

Maya is married to David Amar and they have two children: Aiden and a daughter, El, two.
Six months before her miscarriage, Maya suffered a devastating stillbirth.
She revealed the news on her social networks with a photo of a memory box given by the hospital.

In a heartbreaking post, Maya wrote: “I had a stillbirth at 38 weeks. I’ve always heard about it, but I never imagined that I would be part of the statistics … Instead of giving birth to a baby, I go home with a memory box … I don’t wish that on anyone. What was a regular weekly review turned into a nightmare I never imagined would happen to me …
“Given that I’m sharing my pregnancy on the show, I knew I would have to post this and avoid the question of ‘when is your due date.’ You will always be in our hearts, Mason Miller, “she wrote in a post shared in November.
Earlier, she spoke in the past about her struggles with fertility, revealing that she had two miscarriages before meeting her son Aidan in April 2019 and daughter El Madison in May 2020.
Maya announced that she was pregnant with their third child in July 2021.
Last week, Maya reflected on her loss through her Instagram, revealing that she is still recovering from her loss, but that staying active has helped her cope with the pain.

“Everyone deals with their loss in their own way, but I think the key is to stay busy. Healthy distraction always keeps me going.
Adding that this helped you get to work, socialize with people, move your body (endorphins) and talk to someone. From my experience, I know that the pain of loss will not heal overnight, but today is a great day to start or continue the healing process.

Maya said during the reunion of the fifth season that her son died in a “strange accident” due to compression of the umbilical cord.
“Four and a half months have passed and time helps. I want to thank each and every one of you when the shit hit the fan, everyone was so kind here. Life happens, we don’t know how things will happen. I was 38 weeks old and it was a strange accident.
She continued: “We just returned the autopsy and it was just a bad accident with the rope. Mixed with slightly ingested placenta.
“But I’m doing much better and I have a husband, he’s amazing. My kids are great. They keep me, I work and I’m busy. I don’t have time to sit and cry all day, I have my moments, it’s part of the grief and just take the opportunity to raise your voice about stillbirth and pregnancy loss, “she said.
