The 17-year-old is in critical condition after being hit by a driver on a sidewalk in Saanic on Thursday night.
Saanic police say the 17-year-old was crossing at the intersection of Burnside Road West and Wascana Street when he was hit by a 2006 silver Pontiac Montana van.
The driver of the car remained on the scene, and the police ruled out injury as the cause.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital, where he remains in serious condition.
Investigators are asking to speak to anyone who has a camera recording or witnesses who have not yet spoken to police.
