The “appearance” at Red River Ex leaves one in critical condition: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police are investigating after a man was hospitalized due to an incident at the Red River exhibition.

Winnipeg police have confirmed that officers are currently investigating what they described as an “incident” at the Red River. Police said one person was injured and taken to hospital in critical condition. However, the police do not have more details.

Garth Rodgerson, chief executive of the Red River Exhibition Association, told CTV News that a major accident occurred around 7 p.m.

“Our paramedics took care of someone and they were transported to a hospital,” he said. “Winnipeg police responded immediately and the person was also arrested almost immediately.

He said the park remained open, adding that the park was run by police, who told him it did not need to be closed.

Rodgerson said he did not have more details about what exactly happened. He said police were still investigating.
