Xbox has revealed a lot of exciting news on the Xbox & Bethesda Game Showcase, ranging from a longer look at Starfield to news about Overwatch 2 and Diablo IV.
For this event, Xbox focused only on games that can be played over the next 12 months. At least you won’t have to wait too long. In case you missed it, here is an overview of the biggest announcements and trailers.
Hollow Knight: Silk Song, the long-awaited sequel to the popular indie title Hollow Knight, will launch on the first day for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. The trailer shows the beautiful art and gameplay of the platformer, but there is no official release date yet.
It’s official: Overwatch 2 will be free to play and early access will come on October 4th. The game will also include a new tank hero called Junker Queen. Blizzard will reveal more information about the game during an event on June 16.
Bethesda has finally given us a longer look at character creation and shipbuilding opportunities at Starfield, a game that has been running since 2018. The long-awaited role-playing game for space exploration looks quite promising from the trailer. Although human characters still look as if they were made by Bethesda.
Xbox has partnered with developer Persona Atlus to bring Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, Persona 5 Royal to Xbox consoles and PC. Persona 5 Royal will be the first to arrive on October 21.
Diablo IV – finally – is ready to be released next year for both Xbox and PC. During the demonstration, Blizzard demonstrated the cooperative ability of the game and introduced the fifth and final class: Necromancer.
The next Forza Motorsport comes with several upgrades
The new Forza Motorsport will come with a “new level of realism” fueled by Xbox Series X beam tracking capabilities. Some other changes include changes in time of day and temperature, tire and fuel management, in-depth car building and more.
The Halo Infinite pelican comes in Microsoft Flight Simulator
Microsoft Flight Simulator: The 40th anniversary add-on – now available – makes Halo Infinite’s Pelican flying in-game. It will also include partnerships with the Smithsonian’s National Aviation and Space Museum “in a one-of-a-kind collaboration” with more details to come later.
Redfall is coming in 2023
Xbox has offered a new look at Redfall, a cooperative first-person shooter (FPS) that has players repelling vampires in the fictional town of Redfall, Massachusetts. Redfall, developed by Arkane Studios, the team behind Dishonored, first appeared on E3 last year.
Ark 2 with Vin Diesel is coming in 2023
We got another look at Vin Diesel in Ark 2. The action of the sandstone for prehistoric survival takes place on the alien planet Arat and is expected to arrive next year on the Xbox.
The Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels expansion arrives in July
Just like previous Forza Horizon games, Forza Horizon 5 also gets a Hot Wheels expansion pack that allows you to build and compete on custom tracks made with virtual track tracks. The expansion, which comes on July 19, will also include new cars, including the 2021 Hennessey Venom F5 and the 2000 Hot Wheels Deora II.
A new Minecraft spinoff is on the way
Minecraft Legends is a new action strategy that asks you to “unite the whole world”. The trailer shows familiar square-looking figures repulsed by horse enemies and commanding their own teams.

The first thing you will notice about Pentiment is its unique artistic style. The game in narrative style has been developing in Bavaria since the 16th century and comes to us from Obsidian, the same studio that brought us Fallout: New Vegas.
The seventh season of Sea of Thieves brings new options to customize the boat
The next season of Sea of Thieves is entitled “Captains of Adventures” and is expected to be available on July 21. It introduces the ability to purchase, name and customize ships.

A new area is coming to Elder Scrolls Online – High Isle consists of a series of islands located in the Systres archipelago, where you will have to protect the population of the area from Bretons from the Order of the Ascendant.
Hideo Kojima has partnered with Xbox Studios for a mysterious new game
Hideo Kojima, the developer best known for his work on the Metal Gear series, appeared during the event, noting that his studio has partnered with Xbox for a new game. The details are still few so far, but one can’t help but wonder if it has anything to do with leaked gameplay footage that Kojima asked a reporter to download.
Free history of Game Pass titles along the way
Finally, Xbox has unveiled the range of games to arrive in the Game Pass for PC and Xbox next year. This includes many of the games that the Xbox annoys today, such as Overwatch 2, Persona 5 Royal, Redfall and Starfield.
