A BODY has been found in the search for the missing man, David Howe.
Dorset police are involved in an extensive search for Mr Howe after it was reported that a 24-year-old Sussex man had fallen from a RIB in the port of Poole in the early hours of Monday, 2 May.
The forces received a signal at 13.37 on Saturday, May 14, that a body was found in the water of the port.
The body has been found, and although official identification has not yet been made, it is believed to be that of Mr. Howe. His family was informed and the investigator was notified.
Mr Howe’s search efforts include support from HM Coastguard, RNLI and volunteers from DorSAR and the Wessex Flood and Water Rescue Unit.
The investigation into the circumstances of the incident is being led by the Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) and is ongoing.
A 19-year-old man from Southampton, who was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, remains released under investigation.
Detective Inspector Simon Huxter of MCIT said: “David’s family has been kept fully up to date and we have many thoughts with them and all of David’s loved ones at this extremely difficult time.
“We will continue to do everything we can to support them.
“I would like to thank all those who took part in the search after David’s disappearance for their efforts.
