The Detroit Tigers add Cody Clemens to the Premier League

Cody Clemens, the youngest son of seven-time Cy Young winner Roger Clemens, has been called up by Detroit Tigers, Monday reported.

Clemens, a 26-year-old left-hander who played in and out of the field, was added to the list in time for Monday’s game against Minnesota Twins.

He reportedly received the call while Triple-A Toledo was traveling by bus to Columbus for Monday night’s match. Clemens got off the bus and was on his way to Detroit.

Clemens, a third-round pick in the 2018 MLB draft, scored .283 with eight home runs and 31 RBI with muddy hens this season.

He was added to the roster in the 2021 season, but has yet to see action in a major league match.

To make room, the Tigers put outfielder Robbie Grossman on the list of neck strainers.
