The motorcyclist was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday afternoon with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after a car crash in the Stewart area.
RCMP Headquarters, Queens County Sgt. Shane Hubble said there was a vehicle turning left on Route 2 coming from Mount Stewart and the motorcycle was traveling on Route 2.
The accident happened shortly after 3 p.m.
“The driver of the vehicle did not see the motorcycle coming because there was another vehicle turning right off the highway,” Hubley said. “So there was no clear vision and he withdrew and the motorcycle could not avoid his impact.”
The accident happened at the intersection of Road 2 and Main Street.
The road was closed for at least two hours, according to social media on the Island RCMP.
Hubley said the investigation is ongoing.
