On Sunday afternoon in Anaheim, nerves boiled, which led to a fight to clear the benches during the second inning of the game of Angels against the Seattle Mariners.
Things got so crazy that at one point a box full of sunflower seeds was placed in the field.
At the top of the second inning, Angels pitcher Andrew Wonz punched Mariners’ right fielder Jesse Winker at the foot of the pitch. This drove Winker, who continued to try to reach Wantz, before joining him on the field from both dugouts and furs, when a fight broke out.
This was the last problem between the teams in this series. Vanz threw behind Julio Rodriguez’s head in the first inning. This happened after Mike Trout was furious with the pitch that came close to his head the night before.
As things calmed down, six players and two managers were fired on Sunday. While the judges were sorting things out, Risel Iglesias actually grabbed a large box of sunflower seeds from the Angels’ dugout and tossed it onto the court.
Winker also left the field with a double gesture for the audience.
In general, Mariners manager Scott Servais and Angels interim manager Phil Nevin were thrown along with Winker, Wonz, JP Crawford, Iglesias, Julio Rodriguez and Ryan Tepera.
The Angels won the match 2-1, thanks to the home run of Luis Rengifo and the single of David MacKinnon RBI in the seventh. This marks their first victory in a series of three games and their second victory in six games.
