A Scottish high school has been evacuated after a fire broke out in it, with smoke rising into the air.
Emergency services rushed to Hawick High School on Buccleuch Road in Borders town shortly before 3 p.m. on Friday, June 10.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) sent two devices and firefighters are currently at the scene.
The teams are working to control and extinguish the flames, which are believed to be the result of igniting a solar panel.
Police confirmed that the building had been evacuated and the incident was not treated as suspicious.
No casualties were reported.

A spokesman said: “We were alerted at 2.47pm on Friday, June 10, about reports of a fire that spread to Hawick High School on the city’s Buccleuch Road.
“Operational control has mobilized two devices and firefighters are currently working to control and extinguish the fire. No one was injured. “
A Scottish police spokesman said: “Officers have been called in to report a fire at a Buccleuch Road, Hawick premises around 3:05 pm on Friday, June 10, 2022.
“The solar panel caught fire and was quickly extinguished.
“The building has been evacuated and is not being treated as suspicious.
