A former boxer who caused chaos at a Merseyside pub told a young bartender in the room to call me when you turned 18.
Joshua Kehoe was one of two men who went on a rampage at Rainhill Pub last year, injuring several people in an act of unprovoked violence. Keho, now 28, was a boxer who once fought in an event at the then ECHO Arena in 2018, but he and George Harper are now behind bars after a series of attacks on a number of employees and customers at Manor Farm in the early hours of May 30 last year.
Still, a Liverpool court has heard that even before the couple became violent, Keho began creating problems with others in the pub by continuing to flirt with a 17-year-old bartender, even after she told him she was not yet an adult. .

Prosecutor Nick Cochrell said the men, who both worked as security guards, arrived at the pub for an 18th birthday party, for which their boss provided security, even though they did not work. Mr Cockrell said: “The men sat at a table in the bar area and a young woman from the bar staff went to serve them drinks.
“They bought a portion of drinks, and while she was taking the order, one of the men, Kehou, for lack of a better expression,” chattered. [the staff member]. She was kind to him, but told him she was only 17, even though she had to turn 18 a few weeks later.
George Harper (left), 30, from Holland Street, Liverpool, and Joshua Kehoe, left, from Cretan Road, Liverpool, were sentenced to two years, eight months and four years respectively in the Royal Court of Liverpool on Thursday, June 15, 2022. .
The court heard that he asked for her number, but she refused. Mr Cochrell said: “A few minutes later Keho asked [the staff member] if she could call a taxi for him. She used her phone to write the number and handed it to Mr. Yates. He picked up the phone and put his own number in her phone, sent her a text message, and then told her to text him when he was 18. ”
Mr Cockrell said that despite Kehoe’s behavior, it was not the incident that caused problems at the pub. It was only later that the landlord’s wife said she had seen Keho inspect the 17-year-old’s bag as well as hers, and problems began. Kehoe was never charged with a bag-related crime, but Mr Cockrell said the prosecution had started a dispute that eventually saw Kehoe and Harper expelled from the pub.
They then returned to carry out a series of attacks, first on the landlord and staff member, and then on some customers. The court heard the landlord, who was hit with a bottle of wine during the Keho and Harper attack and later passed out, regained his license for premises after the incident and now no longer runs the pub.
Keho of Cretan Road, Liverpool, was sentenced to four years in prison. Harper from Holland Street was in prison for two years and eight months.
