The knife attack on Colchester Queen Street left a man injured

A MAN was injured after he was reportedly attacked by a thug with a knife in the early hours of the morning, before police officers closed the entire road for investigation.

Essex police are currently investigating a brutal attack on Queen Street, Colchester, shortly after 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

As a result of the shocking incident, the victim, who was not in a life-threatening or life-changing condition, received a knife wound on the hand that was considered.

Following the arrival of police officers, the road was closed for several hours while an inspection was carried out before the cordon was finally lifted.

No arrests have been made so far, but the attack is still under investigation and anyone with information or video has been asked to contact Essex police as soon as possible.

A spokesman for the forces said: “At this stage, we believe that the man received a wound to his arm caused by a knife – no arrests have been made, but our investigations are ongoing.

“We need everyone who has witnessed the incident, has a recording from a camera or mobile phone to send a report online to essex.police.uk.
