The Last of Us Remake Leaks: Arrives in September for PS5, PC version on the go

The long-running remake of The Last of Us has expired – and is now officially called The Last of Us, Part 1. It will be released for PS5 on September 2, and a computer version is under development.

Seemingly unknowingly revealed by Sony’s own PlayStation Direct website, the list was taken by a ResetEra modiz user. Although the list itself has been removed, the trailer is still available for viewing at the time of writing. The remake will include improved versions of the main game and its DLC prequel, Left Behind. There is no mention of multiplayer fraction mode.

The list calls the remake a “complete overhaul of the original experience, faithfully reproduced but including upgraded gameplay, improved controls and expanded accessibility options.” Plus, feel immersed in improved effects and improved exploration and battle. ”

The game seems to be available in both standard and Firefly editions. The latter includes a steel bookcase, copies of the comics Last of Us: American Dreams, issues 1-4 and “early unlocks in the game” (what they are, it is not clear).

We first heard about the remake of Last of Us last year, amid wider reports of turbulence in Sony’s first party studios. It is reported that the game was originally run by Sony’s Visual Arts Service Group, but later effectively became a Naughty Dog project.

Back in 2013, we awarded the PS3 version of The Last of Us with a full 10/10 review and subsequently gave the same rating to its PS4 remaster. This year we announced it as the 17th best game of all time. Along with its equally impressive sequel, it creates an amazing package for the PS5.
