New unseen footage showing the Queen’s affection for horses was also scheduled to air on Saturday, with videos of her animal care at Royal Stud Sandringham.
In the videos – which will be shown as part of ITV’s coverage of the anniversary celebrations – she is seen feeding, watching and talking tenderly with several horses and foals, along with Mr Warren.
In a video, while watching two horses, the queen is heard saying, “I often wonder what’s going through her head.”
Princess Anne, a former world champion who competed in the 1976 Montreal Olympics, smiled when she arrived in front of applauding crowds, appearing in the royal box for the national anthem.
She later received a painting by Dunfermline, the Queen of Oaks’ winner in 1977, painted by Jeremy Houghton as a jubilee gift for her mother.
Zara is also an experienced equestrian athlete and won the 2006 World Riding Championships as well as the team silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics.
The Red Devils were scheduled to air show, but withdrew at the last minute due to windy conditions.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did not attend the derby because they were visiting Cardiff with their eldest children, Prince George, eight-year-old Princess Charlotte. Prince Louis, who stole the show at Trooping the Color, stayed at home.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not expected to attend as the derby coincided with the first birthday of their daughter Lilibet, who is traveling to the UK for the first time with her parents and brother Archie, at three.
