Kyrie Irving finally chose her deal with the Brooklyn Nets on Monday afternoon and somehow thinks it makes him “different.”
Irving, after seemingly countless rumors and speculations about what he will do next year, reportedly plans to join his deal for nearly $ 37 million with the Nets for next season. This came after reports of a stalemate between Irving and the Nets’ front office, reports that he would potentially sign a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers and others.
Still, Irving, after apparently telling Shams Charania of The Athletic about the deal, released a really weird quote.
“Normal people support the world, but those who dare to be different are leading us into tomorrow,” he told Charania. “I made the decision to get involved. See you in the fall. A11eleven. ”
Trying to look like a revolutionary for taking in nearly $ 37 million to live in Brooklyn and play basketball is, of course, one way to work.
The sports world, of course, had a lot of jokes prepared. With such a quote, it is difficult to blame them.
